The Frog Who Lived in a Boot

Nicholas Hughes has an exhibition of illustrations from his first children's book, The Frog Who Lived in a Boot, published by Phaos Edizioni, on show in the Masters' Room at the Guild until the end of October 2025.

The Frog Who Lives in a Boot is the fable of a frog who ponders if he might be human rather than amphibian. His bold quest to confirm this carries him to thebrink of despair where, ironically, his eyes are opened to the delights of being a frog after all.

The Frog Who Lived in a Boot is written by Steven Dp Richardson, illustrations are by Nicholas Hughes. Illustrations for the book are made from etched and aquatint copper and zinc plates. Prints and books are available for sale - please contact Nick directly at nickqs@gmail.com.
