Artist and designer Ged Palmer will be showing his debut exhibition of works at the Guild from today until Wednesday 11 June. The private view is open to the public 6-9pm on Wednesday 28 May.
This body of work is a departure from his commercial practice of hand-lettering, calligraphy and Signwriting and showcases work he produced earlier this year during an artist residency in Colombia. Working for the first time without a brief, he has been deconstructing letterforms into abstract works which have been heavily inspired by zen calligraphy, jazz music and the quilts of Gee Bend.
