The Ivors Classical Awards recognise the best of contemporary classical music in Britain and Ireland. Rachel Warr has just been nominated for an Ivor, with her collaborator Benjamin Oliver, for VENT, in the category 'Best Community & Participation Composition'.
VENT, commissioned by Musarc choir, is performed with electronics and elements of puppetry including ventriloquism. The piece explores protest and freedom of speech. Librettist Rachel Warr and Composer Benjamin Oliver. Congratulations Rachel!
