Eleanor Crow is a painter and illustrator. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art (BA Fine Art Drawing & Painting), and Central Saint Martins (MA in Communication Design). She worked as a book cover designer at Random House, The Folio Society and Faber & Faber before returning to painting, following short courses at the RDS with Robert Dukes; Heatherley’s with Daniel Shadbolt and St Ives School of Art with Alice Mumford. She has lectured at a number of art colleges in the UK and in the Czech Republic in drawing and design, and is based in a studio in East London. She works from life, with an emphasis on observation, light and colour. Group exhibitions include Lynn Painter-Stainers, Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Scottish Academy open exhibition. Her book of watercolours Shopfronts of London is published by Batsford and Spitalfields Life Books.
