Bridget Harvey

Bridget draws techniques from repair work, various materials, disciplines, and conservation methods to explore how making connects us to the wider world, seeing repair as part of many disciplines, and as independent practice. 

Bridget hand-works omnipresent yet culturally insignificant materials - found textiles, ceramic shards, broken glass and reclaimed wood - into provocative artefacts; repairing, remaking waste and making protest objects. Underpinning her practice are deep beliefs in the cumulative effects of care, maintenance, and environmentalism.
