The Guild operates a mentoring scheme, spreading the luck of its inheritance and the its immense collective experience. Representing over 60 creative disciplines, members are able to offer their in-depth knowledge and expertise over a wide range of specific crafts and more general business-related skills. We aim to support the next generation of artists and craftspeople at the beginning of their careers.
Mentors will help you explore the problems you face in your work, and advise on ways forward. You will be guided on how to find and translate information, understand problems, identify solutions and implement them. To be effective, it is not necessary for mentors and mentees to share the same discipline, although in many cases this may help.
This scheme is free to all applicants. To apply for the scheme, please fill in the application form. You will then be invited to an Open Evening to meet the mentors who potentially match your needs.
