An installation about the creative process
The Life Cycle of Making tells the story of an idea, showing how it evolves and mutates as it passes through different phases of the creative process. Each phase has its own mood; inspiration is day dreamy, sampling is down to earth with flashes of inspiration, while making finished work is gruelling and repetitive. The phases run simultaneously and the challenge is to tell the story without losing the character of the process.
The installation explores this idea both as physical pieces and as a short film, and there’ll be a series of talks and demonstrations during the exhibition.
