Introduction
Vicki works on unique interpretations of architecture. Jewellery and silverware designs reflect travels to Europe and America on a theme that began in her home town of Oxford. She captures the character of a building by producing a portrait in silver with accents of red and yellow gold.
Biography
Born Leeds. Grew up in Oxford. Studied Art Foundation at Oxford Polytechnic 1972 - 73. 3 Yr jewellery design at Hornsey Art College (now Middlesex University) 1973 - 76. Set up first studio 1977 with the help of a Crafts Council Setting up Grant. Exhibited widely in Britain, Europe and America.
Public collections: V&A Museum, Royal Scottish Museum, Norwich Castle Museum, East Midland Arts, Houston University, Texas.
Major commissions: Globe Theatre presentation piece for HRH Prince Philip. Table piece for Robinson College, Cambridge. Commemorative jewellery pieces for Temple Bar, London. Model of 2 Temple Place, London. Presentation award pieces for Prix Pictet 2008 and 2009 presented by Kofi Anan.
