Introduction
In the past I painted abstract pictures. Now I paint figuratively in a variety of media -
watercolours, gouache and oil. My subject matter is predominantly landscapes and still
lives plus the occasional portrait. My main concerns are capturing the quality of light
and in the landscape the creation of deep space. I still consider it essential that all
my paintings work on an abstract level if they are to be successful.

- 1966-69 Royal College of Art
- 1970-73 taught art classes at ILEA
- 1974-75 travelled in Mexico and America
- 1975-79 Trained as a picture restorer
- Since 1979 painting, restoring and teaching

Commissions:
Recent commissions have included two large oils of Rufford Abbey for the new Council Chamber in Nottingham; a series of paintings for His Royal Highness Prince Feisal of Saudi Arabia and several portraits.
