Introduction
From Sutton and Cheam School of Art, then fine art at the City and Guilds Art School, Kennington, I worked in a design studio doing graphics and product design.
On becoming self-employed, I began to revert to fine art where I found greater satisfaction in pleasing an individual client rather than a company.
Before long my love of boats and the sea enabled me to give up commercial work and devote all my time to painting. Although I live in Wales, my paintings depict the eastern seaboard of America in times gone by. Needless to say, I have to go regularly to study as a great deal of research is required.
The galleries I exhibit in are in Salem, Mass., Mystic, Conn. and New York.
In a different medium, a few years ago, I developed an interest in modelling in wax, which resulted in producing traditional portrait miniatures in beeswax from moulds.
