Introduction
Hugh Petter, Director at ADAM Architecture, is an architect with an established reputation for classical and traditional design. He won Rome Scholarships in 1990 and 1991 before returning to London 1992 to establish the Fountain Course at The Prince of Wales’s Institute of Architecture where he served as Senior Tutor for six years. He joined ADAM Architecture as an Associate in 1993, and became a Director in 1997. The Practice has offices in London and Winchester.
Hugh Petter has won various prizes for both academic and architectural projects and his work has been exhibited and published internationally. His projects include both new buildings and alterations, extensions and repairs to historic properties, as well as design consultancy and masterplanning on projects in Britain, Italy, North America and the Caribbean. He has published various articles and essays on architectural subjects and is a visiting tutor to several colleges in the UK and abroad.
