Rebecca Jewell

Rebecca Jewell’s work is based around two main subjects - the drawing of museum artefacts and drawing the natural world. She has a PhD from the Royal College of Art in Natural History Illustration. 

Rebecca is artist in residence at the British Museum working on a project based at the British Museum ethnographic stores. She was artist in residence (2005-2010) on the Melanesia Art Project at the British Museum and is also visiting research fellow in the print-making department at Sir John Cass School of Art, London Metropolitan University. 

Rebecca runs drawing workshops for both adults and children, including at the British Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Linnean Society. Rebecca is visiting tutor at the Royal College of Art 

Rebecca’s work is held in the national collections of the Natural History Museum, the British Museum, the British Library and the National Trust (Chastleton House).
