Library and archives

The library consists of around 600 publications by and about its members, as well as books to which members have contributed (as illustrators, for example). Many of these books are unlikely to be found in other collections, and may be consulted by researchers interested in the history of the craft movement in the late 19th and 20th centuries.

The archives consist of various items relating to the history of the Guild; of particular interest are the early minutes and photographs.

Please note: the Guild has no formal archivist and is unable to answer substantive queries. You may, however, make an appointment to view the archives yourself.

To visit the library or archives, please contact the Guild Administrator.
