Introduction

Petry works in many different media including glass, wood, leather and pearls.

He currently has a large glass installation at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York, which will travel to the Mobile Museum of Art, in October.

Petry will be the first artist in residence at the Sir John Soane’s Museum next year.



Petry has written two books on Installatiopn Art for Thames & Hudson and his most recent book for Artmedia press is Hidden Histories: 20th century male same sex lovers in the visual arts.
