Introduction

Katherine is a London-based self-employed architectural stone carver/sculptor, letter cutter and mason who has worked consistently for the last 15 years in this field.
In this capacity she has worked on many major and minor restorations projects in the UK and Australia encompassing a wide range of architectural styles. For example she has just finished modelling and carving portraiture heads for Westminster Abbey Chapter House. She has completed several original commissions in her own right and is developing this side of the business.

Katherine has a passion for stonework and she prides herself in producing the highest quality work, using traditional skills and tools. Her London workshop has ample space and machinery to handle large stones.  Enabling her to carve the 2 metre high Lion and Unicorn statues on The London Hippodrome, Leicester Square.  And also the marble altar suite (part of re-ordering of SS Peter & Paul, Wolverhampton, which was winner of the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Presidents Award 2009 for new work in churches).

She offers creative suggestions, modelling and design, discussions of stone techniques and fixing in location.
