Introduction
With over 30 years experience, Geoffrey Preston is one of the UK’s leading architectural sculptors. He specialises in sculpture and decorative plasterwork for buildings, interiors and gardens.
After studying sculpture at Hornsey College of Art, Geoffrey trained as a stonemason and carver. A founding director of Nimbus Conservation, and later a director of Cliveden Conservation, he undertook many important and often groundbreaking projects including the restoration of the hand modelled plasterwork at Uppark House and Prior Park College.
In recent years he has concentrated on creating new work in clay, plaster and stucco. He works with architects, designers, plastering companies and private clients on projects varying in scale from small commissions to major new decorative schemes.

Title: Thornhill Park
Description: Thornhill Park was built in the 1720’s and was the home of Sir James Thornhill, Britain’s great baroque painter. Geoffrey designed new stucco armorials for the staircase hall, modelling them in situ with a team of six sculptors. The project won the 2008 Plaisterer’s Trophy.

Title: Garrard's Horse
Description: One of seven new plaster panels for a property in Ireland. The panels were modelled in clay, then moulded, cast and installed by George Jackson & Sons.

Title: Hanover Lodge
Description: Designed by John Nash in 1811, Hanover Lodge was recently refurbished. Francis Terry designed the new plasterwork and Geoffrey made the clay models for several rooms, which were then cast and installed by George Jackson & Sons.
