Equally happy working on a figure or portrait head in clay,
as welding recycled steel naturally patinated objects that have had a previous life, to create something new.
Biography
Qualified in Architecture at Manchester University, studied Sculpture at Kensington & Chelsea, and metal sculpture at Morley College and South Thames College. PGCE teaching part time at Heatherley’s School of Fine Art Chelsea,The Art Academy Borough High Street, London, and Richmond Adult Education College (RACC Twickenham)
Works in clay, welded steel, terracotta and carved stone .
Early retirement from architecture has enabled more time to be devoted to a lifelong and increasing passion for sculpture and life drawing
Finds portrait heads fascinating,
and commissions even more so.
